Partial Solar eclipse took place today. The phenomenon was visible in the northern hemisphere, in Africa, Asia and Europe, including in our country, starting shortly after noon. The next solar eclipse that can be seen from our country will occur in 2027.
A partial eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, covering only part of our star. And even then, the eclipse can be safely observed not directly with the naked eye (there is a risk of serious damage), but through binoculars or a telescope with a special solar filter.
A total lunar eclipse will follow on November 7, which will be the last total eclipse of 2022. There will be four eclipses in 2023: a total solar eclipse on April 20, a lunar eclipse on May 5-6, and an annular solar eclipse on April 20. October 14 and partial lunar October 28-29.
