The bear was seriously injured after being hit by a car on National Highway 13 overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The animal, which can no longer move, was found in a bush on the side of the road and is in the care of the Million Friends Association. Its president, Cristina Lapis, says that medical research is needed so that the animal can receive treatment and stop suffering, News.ro reports.

According to her, doctors do not yet know whether the animal had damage to its internal organs. “We are doing everything possible to save his life,” Christina Lapis said.

The bear is a male, about three years old.
