A 24-year-old young woman died on Saturday after falling about 200 meters into a chasm on the Bucheji massif, near Valea Jepilor Michi. The woman tripped, and her three companions were unable to help her, News.ro reports. A crew from Salvamont intervenes to find the body.
A 24-year-old tourist from Neamts county climbed the mountain in the Bucheji massif together with her friend and two other people. Once a woman tripped and fell 200 meters into the void in Brâna Caraimanului, on the path leading from Crucea Caraiman to the Caraiman cabin.
According to Salvamont Buşteni officials, rescuers were asked to intervene on Saturday around 3:00 p.m. At the time of this news, mountain rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident, took the body of the young woman and are on their way to the resort.
The woman’s friend was brought down from the mountain in a state of shock and handed over to the emergency medical team.
