Of the nearly 30,000 Russian citizens who entered Romania since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, only 485 remained here, which is ten times less than a year before the beginning of the military conflict.

Most were only in transit, and others returned to Russia.

From the day when, on the order of Vladimir Putin, the Russian army invaded Ukraine, and until now, the border police have denied entry to Romania to 309 citizens of the Russian Federation because they did not meet the legal requirements: either they do not have a valid visa or a valid residence permit , or did not have documents confirming the purpose and conditions of stay in our country.

According to the data of the border police, from February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period) to October 15, 2022, at midnight, 2,591,400 citizens of Ukraine entered Romania at the national level.
