According to the Athens-Macedonian news agency from ELAS sources, last Monday, October 10, teachers at a 14-year-old girl’s school in the Patisia district discovered that the girl was under the influence of alcohol.
Immediately afterwards, she was transferred to the Children’s Hospital, where, as soon as she regained consciousness, she told the doctors that she drank to forget “what her father did to her” three years ago, and in particular that he had harmed her. . .
Pediatricians reported to the police, and in the evening of the same day, a 40-year-old Egyptian was detained. Then the accused was brought to the prosecutor, who referred him to the investigator.
The girl, who has siblings, needs to be examined by a coroner. At the same time, the investigation by the Subdivision for the Protection of Minors is ongoing.
