Police officers from the Lagada security department arrested a 60-year-old man and his 50-year-old wife in Thessalonikiwhen they checked their activities in the cultivation of hemp seedlings and their further processing.
In particular, in the course of a police operation carried out on Thursday afternoon (13.10), in the presence of a judicial authority, a search was carried out in the house where they lived in the municipality area. Lagadas, in the vicinity and in the auxiliary area – a warehouse where a total of:
- a makeshift greenhouse that had eight trunks of cannabis seedlings that had just been uprooted and the branches removed for further processing
- 4 cannabis plants from 0.5 to 2.5 meters high
- Hemp stalks in the drying stage weighing about 3 kg and
- 12 cannabis containers with a total weight of 1.8 kg.
Those arrested will be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
