
The barometric low that will move from the region of Southern Italy towards Greece will cause deterioration weather from late Thursday evening to Saturday with localized severe effects, temporary drop in temperature and increased wind in the Aegean Sea.
Rainfall, especially on Friday, October 14, will be category 3 according to the five-level Regional Precipitation Index (RPI) developed and operationally implemented at the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr.
More specifically, according to meteo, from the end of the day Thursday in Western Macedonia and Epirus it will rain, and storms are also expected in the northern part of the Ionian Sea. Gradually until Friday morning, the rains will spread to the rest of the Ionian Sea, the rest of the mainland (with the exception of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace), the Sporades, the Cyclades and the mountains of Crete. Storms will occur in the Ionian Sea, as well as in the western and southern continental regions. The impact on the Ionian Sea, the Western Continent and the Peloponnese will be severe in places.
From the night of Friday 14 October to Saturday 15 October, rains and storms will occur mainly in Sterea, Peloponnese, Central and South Aegean and Crete, with the most severe impacts expected in the Peloponnese and Crete. From Saturday afternoon, the phenomena will be limited to Evia, the Eastern Continent, the Central and Southern Aegean and Crete.
Temperatures on Friday will show a temporary drop in the Ionian and Continental regions and on Saturday 15/10 in Crete, but by Sunday 16/10 it will return to the levels of Thursday 13/10. Northerly winds in the Aegean Sea, which on Friday morning will not exceed 4-5 Beaufort, will gradually increase and from Friday night October 14 to Saturday October 15 in places will reach 6-7 Beaufort.
