A new year full of surprises begins at the OTE Group Telecommunications Museum, which opens its doors to 12in year in a row and presents us with new updated educational programs and promotions for both schools and families. Programs begin on October 16 and will last until May 2023. For one more year, the Museum gives the opportunity to participate to its young and old friends from all over Greece, because in addition to lifelong educational programs at the facilities of the Museum in Nea Kifisia, it continues to hold this year already 2in annual online art workshops for remote schools in the region.
This year, the Museum of Telecommunications promises us that it is “not just a museum” and each time it transforms into something new depending on the type of educational program. It becomes a puppet theater, an art academy, an engineering workshop, a fire department, a post office, a clay workshop, a gallery, a storytelling workshop and more. This is a journey to discover the history of communication and telecommunications from ancient times to the modern digital world through guided tours, art workshops and various educational and museum-pedagogical events.
A unique experience for kids and parents, offered free of charge to everyone, combining fun with learning. Among other things, programs include pottery workshops led by experienced potters, a STEM Academy of Music for those who want to create their own music, and a Reuse Lab to discover the concept of reuse. Even master classes in illustration by renowned visual artist Marta Dimitropoulou, as well as a STEM workshop on building a fire alarm system with a robot!
Find out everything you would like to know about the museum on its new website www.otegroupmuseum.gr.
Participation is free.
