A teacher was detained by the prosecutor’s office in Covasna after attacking four students during a lesson, and one of the victims went to the hospital himself and needs four days of medical care to heal his wounds, News.ro reports.

The prosecutor’s office at the Tirgu-Secujeska court announced in a press release on Wednesday that prosecutors have opened a criminal case against a teacher who assaulted four students.

“A criminal case was registered at the prosecutor’s office at the Tirgu-Sekuesk court after a report sent to the criminal investigation bodies of the judicial police IPJ Covasna – School Safety Office, by representatives of the health care department in Covasna county, regarding the presentation for the purpose of providing medical assistance to a minor , 12 years old, who reported that on October 7, during the lesson, she was physically abused by the teacher,” the report says.

Prosecutors noted that as a result of the inspection, it was established that the teacher in question hit three other minor students during lessons on the same day.

He is being investigated for four crimes of abusive behavior.

A day after the assault, the student who was assaulted presented to a medical facility, and a medical examiner concluded that she had sustained injuries that required three to four days of care to heal.
