
The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine announced on Tuesday that it had exhumed the bodies of 78 civilians from two towns in the east of the Donetsk region, recently captured by Ukrainian forces, AFP reports.
“Numerous burials were discovered in the liberated cities of Sviatogursk and Liman,” she said, reporting on 34 bodies exhumed in Sviatogursk and 44 in Liman.
According to the source, some of the bodies exhumed in Sviatohirsk had signs of “violent death”, and the charred remains of two people were found in a car.
About 110 graves were counted in Liman, of which 44 bodies were immediately exhumed, including “a one-year-old child and his entire family.”
