The finalist in Ostrava, Iga, received a check for 58,032 euros from the organizers.
After the conclusion of the WTA 500 tournament, the world number one said that she was happy to have reached the final and thus received a check with a significant amount of money.
The Polish woman then announced that she would donate all the winnings to a mental health organization in her country.
“I really wanted to play well in Ostrava to have as much money as possible for donations. I am very happy that I managed to do it,” Iga Svyatek said, among other things.
This season, the Pole, who authoritatively dominates the WTA hierarchy, has already achieved 60 victories.
He has lost eight in a row.
To date, Iga has collected $9,289,185 in tennis prize money alone this season.
