President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said on Saturday evening in his message to the people at the end of the day that the future of his people is bright, stressing that if the occupiers flee while they have a chance, it will be the best option.
“Today was a beautiful and mostly sunny day on the territory of our state. It was about 20 degrees and sunny in most of the country. Unfortunately, it was cloudy in Crimea. Although it is also warm. But no matter how many clouds there are, Ukrainians know what to do. And I know that our future is bright. This is the future without inhabitants. Throughout our territory, especially in Crimea. If the residents flee while they have the chance, this will be their best option. If they are forced to stay, any occupier can find a way to surrender. We guarantee the safety of all Russian servicemen who voluntarily lay down their arms. Ukraine always adheres to all international norms and conventions. We will not leave the occupiers with other options they can count on,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his address, News.ro reports.
The Ukrainian leader also said that residents of the restored territories should be careful about mines. “Our bomb squads, our bomb technicians are working as best they can, but after the occupiers, a very large area is contaminated with mines. Please do not ignore mine warnings, do not visit closed areas due to danger, please report any mines or unexploded ordnance found to the police, emergency services or local authorities,” he said.
