In its second week on the viewers’ Top 10 Shows list, the series became the ninth most watched English-language show on the platform of all time. Netflix tracks overall popularity by counting hours watched in the first 28 days a show is available on the service. “Monster” was watched by 496 million hours in just 12 days, with 16 more days left to climb higher on the chart. According to the platform, at least 56 million households have watched all 10 episodes (about 8.8 hours in total) of the crime miniseries.

Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune, it is based on the novel The Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The official description reads: “The Harkonnen Sisters fight against forces that threaten the future of mankind and found a legendary sect known as the Bene Gesserit.”
