In total, 77 new students from 44 countries were admitted yesterday. Athens University, confirming the new leaf he is turning with the organization of English-language undergraduate programs. In the hall of festivities in the Propylaea, the management and staff of the university welcomed the first 40 students of the English-language program of the Faculty of Medicine, as well as 37 students who will be enrolled in the English-language program of the Faculty of Medicine. The Philosophical University of Athens for Archeology, History and Literature of Ancient Greece, which has been in existence for the third year, with 64 students from 21 countries. First students of the Medicine program from Albania, Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Egypt, El Salvador, Finland, Germany, Georgia, Maldives, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and USA.

As the dean of the institution and professor of the medical faculty said Thanos Dimopoulos, students were selected from among 1,400 applicants from 44 countries. “One of the goals of the programs is to attract the best students from all over the world. We ask you to also tell us your opinion about the program,” Mr. Dimopoulos addressed new students of English-language programs. The success of the Philosophy program, despite the difficulties of the pandemic, has been focused in particular on Eleni Karamolegou, Emeritus Professor of the School. The ceremony was attended by Education Minister Niki Kerameos and Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis.
