
Romania’s men’s volleyball champion Arkada Galac scored an impressive 3-0 victory over Bulgarian champion Hebar Pazardzhik in the first leg of the 2nd preliminary round of the Champions League.
The score in the sets was 25-22, 25-19, 26-24 in favor of the team trained by Sergiu Stanku.
Last season, “Hebar” took 2nd place in Group A of the Champions League, but could not make it to the quarterfinals of the competition.
The return will take place on Tuesday, October 12, from 18:00.
If Hebar overcomes, Arkada will face the winner between Croatian team Mladost Zagreb and Lindaren Volley Amrisville (Switzerland).
The winner will play in Group B along with Berlin Recycling Volleys (Germany), Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie (Poland) and Halkbank Ankara (Turkey).
