“We still fight sometimes, reconcile, it’s not easy. The easiest thing when you lead is to put Jesmen people around you, not to have Stanescu, to have Tudose, Grindeana, Gabriel Firea, Dink… They are not Jesmen, they are people with pride, people with a point of view. I prefer this way of driving,” said Marcel Cholaku in an interview broadcast on Wednesday by Antena 3.
He called Sorin Grindeana, Mihai Tudos and Gabriela Firea “friends”, and about PSD General Secretary Paul Stenescu, whom he called “nea Paul”, the PSD leader said that together with him he “did the impossible for PSD”.
Regarding his predecessors, Čolaku believes that Victor Ponta “governed Romania well, was a good prime minister”, and Liviu Dragnia qualifies as an “exceptional organizer”. However, he said both “made certain mistakes that are difficult to correct”.
