A police operation by the Anti-Narcotics Subdivision of the Attica Security Directorate was carried out on Friday evening (23 September) in the area of Agia Varvara in order to dismantle the criminal network of human trafficking. drugs substances and preventing the spread of illicit trafficking in the illegal market. In particular, three citizens, two men aged 66 and 23 and a 28-year-old woman, were detained as part of spontaneous proceedings, in the evening hours of 09/23/2022 in the village. As it turned out as a result of the investigation, the defendants founded and joined a criminal organization with methodical actions, a hierarchical structure and well-defined roles.
Specifically, the 66-year-old was a leader and was in charge of locating, transporting and trafficking substances, supplying various drug dealers in the wider area of Western Attica. He also coordinated and directed the other members of the gang.
The remaining members, under the leadership of the 66-year-old leader, were engaged in the storage and storage of drugs, as well as their circulation.
In total, a search was carried out in four houses, where the following were seized:
- 311.3 grams of cocaine
- 3 grams synthetic cannabinoid drug (BOOM),
- 166 grams brown powder of unknown chemical composition,
- several nylon drug distribution bags,
- 3 precision electronic scales,
- 14 medicinal tablets,
- shop pistol,
- 314 rounds,
- company car and
- amount 685 euros
The arrested were taken to the criminal prosecutor’s office in Athens.
