A large-scale police operation by the Anti-Narcotics Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Authority was carried out on the afternoon of Thursday (22 September) in the wider area of ​​Aharni and Zefirio to combat drug trafficking. drugs. Police officers from the Attica Police Operations Directorate, OPKE, participated in the operation. and a police dog.

During the operation, four citizens, two men aged 31 and 53 and two women aged 50 and 34, were detained for violating the law on narcotic substances. In addition, the identity of a 36-year-old citizen who is on the wanted list has been established.

In particular, a 31-year-old man was found to have three nylon bags of heroin weighing 1240 grams in public transport (taxi) for the purpose of human trafficking and on behalf of the above defendants. and a nylon bag, carefully hidden in a specially designed crypt behind the car’s stereo screen, containing 265 grams. heroin.

As established by the investigation, a 31-year-old man received the above amounts from the house of a 53-year-old and 50-year-old woman through the hands of 34-year-old and 36-year-old old (not arrested co-defendants) and hid them in a taxi for the purpose of further trading.

The taxi with the stash set up was used solely for the drug trade in order to avoid detection of the transported amount and its subsequent confiscation.

In total, five searches were carried out in the houses, where in total there were:

• 1505 grams of heroin,
• high precision weight scale,
• two cars, one of which is a taxi as a means of committing criminal acts,
• amount -3 204.8 – euros,
  5 mobile phones,
• recording device
• and 5 CCTV cameras
