Released on parole, after confession to the investigator. 55-year-old man arrested after complaining that he had sexual intercourse with an 8-year-old girlwhile a minor was playing hide-and-seek with her friends in Halastra Thessaloniki.

In his apology, the defendant denied the act attributed to him (genital act on a minor under the age of 12), emphasizing that he knew the minor because she had repeatedly played in his area and had never committed such acts in the past.

With the consent of the prosecutor and the investigator, it was decided to release him pending trial on the terms of a ban on leaving the country and appearing at the police station at the place of residence.

According to the case file, on Tuesday afternoon, the minor was playing with her friends in front of the 55-year-old woman’s house when she called her over under the pretense of helping her hide. After that, while he was talking to her – always on the basis of the case file – he committed an obscene act against her.

The minor told her parents about the incident, who, in turn, contacted the Thessaloniki sub-division for the protection of minors EL.AS. followed by the arrest of a 55-year-old man.
