He was arrested in the Diawat area for illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. Thessaloniki39 years old, when drug pills and a wireless transceiver synchronized with the EL.AS frequency were found in his possession.

The 39-year-old man was arrested as an accomplice in Panagiotis Vlastos’ escape attempt from Trikala prison in February 2013 and served his sentence.

While driving a car, he was seen for a police check, during which he was found to have:

– firearms – a pistol with a four-round magazine,

-narcotic pills that he brought without the necessary medical prescription,

– portable transceiver synchronized with the frequency of the Greek police and 5000 euros.

During a search that followed at his home in Malgar, Thessaloniki, the police found:

– A military rifle with a 27-round magazine, which he carefully hid in the yard,

– Military bayonet,

– Pistol silencer

-2 laptops,

– SIM card and mobile communication packages.

It is noted that along with a 39-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman was traveling as a passenger in the vehicle, who was found to be in possession of pills subject to the Narcotic Substances Act, without a doctor’s order required by law, and who was also arrested.

The detainees, against whom a criminal case has been initiated, will be taken to the prosecutor’s office.
