A video taken at a Russian recruitment center, the first of its kind to appear on social media, shows what Russian men being drafted into the armed forces are being told after a partial mobilization decree was issued.
“What the hell are you yelling like women for? Shut up and act like one, why are you all yelling? What are you shouting at?’ – the military officer shouted in turn to be heard.
Stepping down from the podium to try to hear what some of the men were saying, he continues his speech:
“I’m trying to tell you, but don’t let me scream. I tell you that you are all army men now. This is it! Stop playing! You are all soldiers!” – states the foreman.

He tells the servicemen that they will remain at the facility where they were drafted for three days before being sent to a training center.
Professional wages are promised to the Russian mobilized
“The salary of a contract soldier (professional), an officer or an ensign (senior officer), depending on the rank. Pay for combat operations, veteran status, until the end of the special operation, then home,” he explains.
When one of the men asks what will happen to their jobs, the soldier assures them that they will remain in reserve until they return.
Many of the men in the footage appear unhappy about being mobilized to take part in a “special military operation” launched by Vladimir Putin on February 24, with the footage partly reminiscent of others taken a day earlier, showing recruits arguing with a recruiting officer .
However, the men in Thursday’s footage, taken in Dagestan, are more aggressive in their protests.
Multiple videos that have surfaced on social media show the mobilization that Putin ordered on Wednesday morning unfolding:
