The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that 15-20 women who took part in an anti-war rally in Grozny were detained and threatened to send their children and husbands to fight against Ukraine, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
According to Kadyrov, three out of 20 women have sons who are participating in the war in Ukraine.
“Also, another 15-20 women who were paid by European organizations came out, and when asked why they went to the market today, they started asking questions related to communal, social housing.
I said that if there are no people at home to spend a decent day tomorrow, then these people should be in the territory of the special operation.”
He also asked the residents of the republic not to go out to protest against the war, and those who did go out, he called “enemies of the people” and asked to send them to the war zone.
According to Kadyrov, in the republic under his control, there is not even a refusal to participate in hostilities, and all military personnel assigned to Ukraine left voluntarily.
Residents of several Russian cities staged protests on Wednesday against Vladimir Putin’s decision to partially mobilize the military, and hundreds of demonstrators were detained.
According to OVD-Info, an organization that specializes in counting arrests, more than 928 people have already been detained in 38 cities, of which 361 people were allegedly detained in Moscow alone.
