The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his address to the people on Saturday evening, said that new evidence was found in Izyum that people buried there were tortured, reports news.ro.

• “Today, exhumation work continued in Izyum of the Kharkiv region. Examination of the bodies is ongoing. New evidence of torture of the buried has been discovered. In the liberated territories of the Kharkiv region, more than ten torture chambers have already been discovered – in various settlements.” The occupiers, fleeing, also threw out abuse. Even at the Kozacha Lopa station, they found a torture chamber, found instruments for torture with electric current.
• Torture was a widespread practice in the occupied territory. That’s what the Nazis did. This is what the Russians do. And they will answer the same – both on the battlefield and in courtrooms. We will establish all the identities of those who tortured, who abused, who brought this atrocity from Russia here, to our Ukrainian land,” said the Kyiv leader.

Zelenskyi also said that food and medicine have been delivered to the cities of the Kharkiv region, the electricity grid has been restored, and the transport network will be restored.

“The time will come and we will rebuild everything that the enemy destroyed,” he said.

The Czech Republic, which holds the presidency of the European Union, called on Saturday for the creation of an international war crimes tribunal after the discovery of a mass grave in eastern Ukraine.
