On September 16, Klymenko reported that two of these cameras were found in the city of Balaklia. He did not specify the location of the other eight.

This news followed another report about possible Russian atrocities in the previously occupied parts of the Kharkiv region. On September 15, Ukrainian police reported that a mass grave containing about 440 graves had been found in Izyum, another recently liberated city in the region.

According to the governor of the Kharkiv region Oleg Sinegubov, before the start of Ukraine’s counteroffensive on September 6, Russian troops occupied about 32% of the territory of the region.

According to Synegubov, during the “Lightning” operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated more than 300 populated areas of the region, on September 14, only 6 percent remained occupied.
