
Three people were injured as a result of an explosion that occurred on Wednesday after the accumulation of gas at the shipyard in Orshov.

According to representatives of ISU Mehedinti, the explosion was not accompanied by a fire.
- “According to the data we have, after the explosion that occurred at the Orshov shipyard, three people needed medical assistance.
- The explosion occurred as a result of the accumulation of gases and was not accompanied by a fire. The SMURD and the traffic police ambulance intervened. The SMURD ambulance took away the victim, who has burns on 70 percent of his body surface.
- Another victim was taken by the SAJ, and the third was taken to the hospital by construction site workers,” ISU MehedinÅ£i said, News.ro reports.
The injured were taken to the Orshov Police Station.
Later, ISU officials clarified that two of the victims suffered burns to approximately 70% of the body surface, and the third suffered a brain injury.
