
In the ranks of the traffic police recorded 92 violations. Thessaloniki on school buses, on the first day of the new school year.
According to the police, a total of 129 inspections of school buses were carried out, with the largest number of violations (66) related to tachographs. Three violations of the speed limit and seat belts were confirmed, two – the absence of a fire extinguisher and 18 more – various violations of traffic rules.
At the same time, police officers were distributing pamphlets on traffic regulations and road safety to primary school students in Thessaloniki and cities in Central Macedonia.
Crash prevention activities will continue throughout the school year with traffic lectures by traffic officers and preventive checks of school buses, the police said in a statement.
