A total of 40 foreigners who tried to enter Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland and Spain with fake travel documents were arrested for forging certificates at the airport. Heraklion “N. Kazantzakis”.
They were detained in the period from 09/05/2022 to 09/11/2022, of which 35 are men and 5 are women. In particular, during an inspection carried out by officers of the Heraklion Airport Police Department, the aforementioned foreigners presented fake travel documents from different countries in order to leave the country.
The fake documents have been confiscated while a preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Heraklion Airport Police Department.
