On the occasion of TIF, medical workers of the city’s public hospitals are holding a protest march this year under the central slogan: “Give money for health.”
The procession began from the Hippocrates Hospital, where a protest action was planned at 8.00 am. The medical workers passed through Theageneio and ACEPA, and at the height of Fontana in Egnatia they joined them, followed by their colleagues from “G. Gennimatas” and “Agios Dimitrios”.
The march, which includes the POEDIN General Council, passed through the city center and Antigonidon Square and ended outside of YMATH. The demands of medical workers are for higher salaries, their inclusion in the heavy and unhealthy ranks, new hiring and the return of unvaccinated workers suspended from work, the permanence of auxiliary workers, etc.
