Already from August 30 to September 3, a five-day event called “Chinese-Greek Cultural Exchange Ambassadors” was held in Athens to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and China from the point of view of the children of the two countries, to learn about the long history and culture of the two countries, compare traditions and identify similarities and differences, reveal their characteristics, develop cultural and artistic understanding and sow hope for mutual recognition of cultures.

Through the lessons of the aesthetics of traditional Greek costumes, the comparison of Chinese and Greek traditional music and musical instruments, and the experience of Chinese kung fu, children were given the opportunity to learn and practice to perceive and gain a comprehensive knowledge of the cultures of the two countries. After visiting the Acropolis Museum, the Museum of Ancient Greek Science and Technology and the Temple of Artemis, the children were able to understand the ancient civilization of Greece. It is worth noting that on the evening of September 3, the Cholargo Town Hall hosted the last performance of the “Ambassadors of China-Greece Cultural Exchanges” event with the participation of more than 400 guests and new ambassadors, among whom was Ding Yonghua, Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Greece, Ms. Georgia Pispa, partner of the Deputy Health Minister Zois Rapti and Min. Children’s participation was constant, as all decorations for the event were made by children and their parents from environmentally friendly materials, while handmade children’s buildings were sold and the money raised was donated to support the city of Cholargos. .

The photography exhibition on “China’s World Heritage” and “China’s Enchanting Nature” is still on display at the Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos.”
