The District Hub Association returns to Brasov with a new initiative: SETbv (Brasov Science, Education and Technology), a pilot project targeting STEM subjects and the educational environment, which will take place from 14 to 17 September 2022.
SETbv 2022 offers participants of all ages the opportunity to participate in science, technology and education activities, both at a practical level and as questions for debate in the “SETbv Dialogues” proposed by RAP Grup, bringing to the fore the communication between three domains.
In addition, the organizers have prepared a scientific and technical fair, as well as several surprises.
From the program of the event:
- the community is invited to participate in dialogues with representatives of the academic environment, the business environment and journalists of the local and national press;
- a thematic seminar offered by Waters will give students the opportunity to establish applied contact with STEM disciplines and perhaps discover their passion for a career in this field;
- for an audience of all ages, the science and technology fair will be an opportunity to learn what a career in research and development means – the participants of the exhibition are SETbv 2022 partner companies, pre-university education institutions and civil society, and each stand promises to be a new and exciting experience for participants;
- a workshop on communication and social trust through theater, open to children, especially from rural areas, offered by Oana Manițiu, the District Hub Association and the Children’s Council with the support of UNICEF;
- to make the celebration of science complete, SETbv 2022 also offers artistic moments – concerts performed by the famous pianist Horia Mihail from Brasov, as well as groups of pupils and students from Brasov, as well as a film screening offered by Kinedoc, Artburg and One World Romania (the film screening will be followed by a debate about artificial intelligence);
- the public is also invited to an exhibition that promises to offer the public a new perspective on the abstract through the eyes of local photographers.
Public participation in all events within the festival is free. (more information at www.districthub.ro and @District.Hub).
