Interior Minister Lucian Bode said on Saturday that joining the Schengen area would be a “removed barrier”.

“We will continue to fight for the country’s projects, such as joining the Schengen zone or including Romania in the visa-free regime program. There are two main themes on the PNL agenda that we want to successfully implement in a Liberal government. When the Schengen goal is achieved – and believe me, I am convinced that it will be achieved soon – say and be proud that the National Liberal Party has made an important contribution to this achievement. Joining the Schengen area finally completes the transition process. It will be a barrier removed,” said Lucian Bode at the Summer School of Liberal National Youth, which took place in Konstanz County, Agerpres reports.

On the other hand, he told the young liberals to fight first and foremost for ideas and principles, not for positions that would come over time, according to results.
