The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, who died this week after a 70-year reign, will take place on Monday, September 19, starting at 10:00 GMT (13:00 in Romania). with state ceremonies, Reuters informs.

The late sovereign’s coffin will be flown from Balmoral Castle in Scotland to Edinburgh this Sunday and will arrive in London on Tuesday. He will later be buried in Westminster Hall from Wednesday until the morning of the funeral, which will take place at Westminster Abbey in London.

“We will carry out our duty in the coming days with a heavy heart, but also with a strong determination to ensure a fitting farewell to one of the defining figures of our time,” said Edward Fitzalan-Howard, Duke of Norfolk.
