The National Weather Service has issued a yellow code for heavy rain and atmospheric instability in effect until 11 p.m. Saturday for more than half of the country.

During the specified period of time, there will be periods of heavy rain in Maramureş, Moldova, Dobruja, locally in the north of Transylvania, in Muntenia and in the mountains.

In the south-eastern regions, during the day and at the beginning of the night, there will be frequent electric current discharges, increased wind and sometimes hail.

In the short term or through accumulation, the volume of water will locally exceed 25…30 l/sq.m, and in limited areas 40…50 l/sq.m.

Manifestations of atmospheric instability will occur in smaller areas and in the rest of the country, meteorologists note.
