The supply of this particular type of weapon has not been previously reported.
This satellite-guided weapon, which can hit a target within two meters, was first used in Iraq in 2007 in the assassination of al-Qaeda leader Abu Jura and his associates.
According to a document released last month, the US Department of Defense will spend $92 million of additional funds authorized by Congress to purchase ammunition to replace the M982 Excalibur transferred to Ukraine.
