
The 43-year-old man was handcuffed in the early hours of Wednesday (September 7) by police officers of the Immigration Management Department of the Aliens Office in Thessaloniki as he was seen on Egnatia Odos driving a car. a truck with 10 Syrians (including two minors) who did not have the necessary documents to legally stay in the country.
Subsequently, another IXE was stopped on the Ascent toll road. a vehicle acting as an avant-garde to control the route and inform about the presence of police checks, and the 22-year-old driver and 36-year-old passenger were detained.
Two vehicles were confiscated, of which the truck had fake license plates, two mobile phones and an amount of 2,070 euros.
Those arrested, in the case brought against them by the Thessaloniki Migration Department, will be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
