Now the British singer replenishes her piggy bank of awards with one more, and especially one. Semi for special “One night only” (which included her concert and an interview with Oprah Winfrey), in the category Best Special Program (recording).
With this television award, the 34-year-old musician has now won Grammy (15 awards to be exact) Oscar (for the track “Skyfall” from the James Bond film of the same name) and Amy, which means she is only one Tony Award away from completing the coveted “EGOT”, that is, to have in his collection all the major American awards related to music, film and theater.
Adele posted photos of herself with her newly found Emmy on social media, jokingly writing: “Trust me, I officially have an EGO.”
Let’s see if Adele moves into the realm of EGOT and when.
