The Russian government has ordered the opening of two new factories for the repair of armored vehicles in the country, which are in full conflict in Ukraine, according to a decree officially published on Monday on a specialized website of the Russian authorities, according to AFP.
Plant No. 71 and Plant No. 72 must obtain a state license within four months, according to the decree of the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin on September 2.
Their main purpose is “repair of armored vehicles and vehicles (…) in the interests of defense,” says the decree published on the official portal of regulatory documents of the Russian government.
Russia has been on the offensive in Ukraine since February 24 and is advancing in the east and south of the country. However, in recent weeks it has faced a Ukrainian counteroffensive, especially in the south.
