Rafael Nadal reached the 1/8 finals of the US Open 2022, the Iberian defeated Richard Gasquet for the 18th time in his career. Big names like Carlos Alcaraz (3), Andriy Rublev (9), Yannick Sinner (11) and Marin Cilic (15) also reached the same Grand Slam phase at Flushing Meadows.

Nadal got past Gasquet without any problems (6-0, 6-1, 7-5), the score of direct matches now became 18-0 in favor of the Spaniard.

Coached by Darren Cahill, Yannick Sinner advanced to the 1/8 finals of the US Open 2022, the Italian defeated Brandon Nakashima (69 ATP – USA) in four sets (3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2).
