EODY draws citizens’ attention as signs of increased dispersion have emerged in recent weeks flu.

Influenza is known to show seasonal fluctuations with a gradual increase in the spread of the virus from October to March. Usually during the summer months, the number of reported cases of influenza is small and, as a rule, this concerns sporadic cases of the disease.

However, EODY said in a statement that the current pre-epidemic period has seen an increase in influenza cases compared to previous years, mostly among young people in certain geographic areas of the country.

With the southern hemisphere experiencing an early onset of this year’s flu epidemic wave, EODY remains vigilant and systematically monitors the evolution of disease activity.

It is recalled that in order to prevent the spread of the virus in society, it is necessary to strictly observe personal hygiene and protection measures, while vaccination remains the most effective preventive measure for the population.
