More precisely, local rains and the storms already occurring in the morning hours in Northern Greece they will gradually last until noon in most parts of the mainland. In Macedonia and Thrace, there is an increased risk of storms causing flash floods. Hail is also forecast for East Thessaly, Central Macedonia (mountains) and Thrace, with small hail (<2 cm).

Storms in Attica

According to Mr. Duffy, the instability that will prevail in the atmosphere over Attica today will favor the occurrence of storms, which will be locally accompanied by strong winds. Morning cloudiness will quickly increase over the mountainous regions of the prefecture, and local showers will pass first in the mountains, and then in other regions of North and East Attica.

Although predictability is low, in the Attica Basin the chance of a storm is low, especially in the afternoon.
