The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, states that “radiation does not require a visa” to cross the borders in the context of the European Union’s suspension of the agreement under which Russians simplified obtaining visas.

She did this after Russian journalists asked her at a briefing about the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP, where

Zakharova stated that when asked directly who bombed the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, Western countries and the UN “answer that they do not know, they have no opinion on this matter.”

“They have an opinion about gang rapes, etc. They know for sure that the Russians are making them. When it comes to other crimes, they immediately point the finger at Moscow,” she accused.

The spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow also reported that “the EU is now busy with a more important decision – whether to issue visas to Russians or not.”

“But radiation has no passport. She does not need a visa to cross the border. If something happens in Zaporizhzhia, it will not be visas, passports or borders,” she said.

“European liberal regimes have made many self-destructive and suicidal decisions. Maybe this is another coin in the piggy bank,” she added.

Maria Zakharova sharply attacked Romania

The ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states decided to complicate the procedure for Russian citizens to obtain EU visas, making it more expensive and longer. However, they did not agree on a complete ban, which was demanded by Ukraine and several member states.

Zakharova stated this at the same briefing in which she accused Romania of supplying military equipment to Ukraine under the pretext of providing humanitarian aid and asked the Bucharest government to publicize the situation.

“The Romanian authorities obviously feel moral discomfort in connection with the implementation of NATO directives to send more and more lethal vehicles, realizing the real consequences of this ideological policy. Instead of this false shame, they should admit everything,” Zakharova demanded.

“Repeatedly sending arms to Ukrainian nationalists to fight against their own people only prolongs the conflict (if Bucharest doesn’t know it) and leads to an increase in casualties,” she added.

“Those who do this share responsibility with the nationalist regime in Kyiv for the crimes, blood and suffering that they will only increase. If Romanian officials think that none of this matters, that’s their opinion. But it would be nice to share some “discoveries” about these shipments. What are they sending to the Kyiv regime?” she asked rhetorically.

“We are sure that after the completion of this military special operation, all people of today’s Ukraine will be able to start a peaceful life in a free country, without Nazis, without shells falling on their cities, without discrimination based on nationality or language, and where international humanitarian norms and rights are respected and everyone’s freedom,” said Maria Zakharova during the same press conference.

The statements she made at that press conference caught the attention of several international analysts after the Russian embassy in the UK published her message about radiation that “doesn’t need a passport”.
