197 places in military educational institutions

The military schools have decided to lower the minimum admission base for 2023 following vacancies this year. In particular, due to minimum import base (MBA) in 2021 there were 103 vacancies in Military Academy (out of 155 identified), but this year the problem “expanded” to schools for naval cadets and permanent non-commissioned officers. In Evelpidon (weapons specialty), 139 out of 226 appointed positions remained vacant, in Permanent Non-Commissioned Officer School (SMY) out of 197 posts, 42 remained vacant, and in the Naval Cadet School, out of 41, 16 remained vacant.

The problem arose immediately after the introduction of the UBE, since the positions of military educational institutions have always been one of the most in demand, since they provided immediate professional rehabilitation. Thus, the army schools decided to reduce the coefficient that forms their EBE for 2023.

It should be noted that the EBE of each school is obtained from the average performance of candidates in the field of study to which the school belongs, multiplied by a coefficient chosen by the school. The coefficient ranges from 0.8 to 1.2. Thus, for 2023 at the Evelpidon school from 1.20, which was this year National exams the coefficient of the minimum entry base has been reduced to 1. Accordingly, in SMU it has been reduced from 1 to 0.9, and in the Naval Cadet School – from 1.20 to 0.9.197 places in military educational institutions-1

The minimum admission base will change in 2023, as some applicants are excluded due to high rates this year.

University enrollment

At the same time, from today until Friday, September 9, registration at universities will begin for those who have successfully passed the USE this year and a special category of those suffering from serious illnesses.

Registration will be mandatory online through the Electronic Registration Information System. Successful candidates can access the system from an email address https://eregister.it.minedu.gov.gr. To log into the online application, they must enter the candidate’s 8-digit exam code as username and password, the same one they used to log into the online electronic report card application. Winners of the Special Category of Seriously Illnesses will be entered into the registration application in the same way as when submitting a computerized serious illness report. For Army, Police, Fire, Coast Guard and Tourism Schools, the deadline and registration process for successful applicants will be determined by the respective ministries.
