Deputy Daniel Florea announced on Thursday that he is resigning from the PSD. Florea claims that he does not agree with PSD’s support for a candidate without political activity for the position of mayor of sector 5. We will recall that Florea was the mayor of sector 5 and he again wanted to get the support of the party for this position after Cristian Popescu Piedone was arrested.
“Today I left the Social Democratic Party. This is a decision that has been taken, considered for a long time and is fully in line with my personal, professional and political principles. I’m not joining another party,” the People’s Deputy writes on Facebook.
Florea denies that he would like to run for mayor of Sector 5 again, but says that “he does not accept that the PSD supports a candidate without political activity in the PSD or perhaps a representative of another party.”
After the arrest of Crisitan Popescu Piedone, Daniel Florea asked for PSD’s support in a party meeting to run again, but was refused by Marche Čolaku.
