Ten deputies who left the USR announced the creation of the parliamentary group REPER, a party founded by Dacian Cholos.
On Thursday, I sent information on this matter to the Permanent Office of the Chamber of Deputies:
- “(…) we inform you about the decision to create a REPER parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies, consisting of 10 independent deputies who signed this information, as a form of exercise of the right provided for by the provisions of Art. 64. , paragraph 3 of the Constitution of Romania.
- It should be noted that the signatory deputies were elected in the elections in December 2020 from the Electoral Alliance “EDR PLUS” and are currently not members of any political party.
They claim that the creation of the REPER deputy group also finds its basis in the decision of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, according to which the creation of a deputy group, which did not exist at the beginning of the legislative body, is possible provided that certain parties are represented in the parliament. that did not receive mandates in the elections was not achieved.
The ten deputies are Christian Paul Ichim, Cristina Rizea, Daniel Toda, Laurent Zoltan Sass, Oana Kambera, Simina Tulbure, Aline Prunean, Andrei Lupu, Tudor Benga and Catalin Tenica.
According to some parliamentary sources cited by Agerpres, the leader of the USR group, Ionuc Mostianu, warned at the Chamber’s leadership meeting that the two signatories, Cătălin Teniţă and Simina Tulbure, are still in the USR parliamentary group and have not yet taken steps to resign.
And the deputies who left the PNL group together with former liberal leader Ludovic Orbán announced that a group of independent right-wing deputies was created on February 1, who demand the provision of regulatory rights arising from the creation of this group: representation in committees, operational space, material technical and personnel. The permanent office of the Chamber of Deputies also sent an appeal to the legal committee signed by deputy Violeta Aleksandra.
The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies begin the second regular parliamentary session of this year on Thursday.
