The president of the Romanian Academy, Ioan-Aurel Pop, said on Wednesday that the education bills do not offer any “clear perspective” to improve the industry, and advanced proposals “have reached a dead end”.

“Unfortunately, the acute problems have not changed, even if we are promised some new laws on education, on science, you can see in what impasse they are now, proposals. And so it is not resolved. They, these proposals, I do not give, in my opinion, a clear perspective for improvement,” Pop said at the opening of the scientific session for the Day of the Romanian Language, held at the Club of Academicians.

Education Minister Sorin Ciempeanu announced that draft laws on pre-university and higher education, developed according to the “Educated Romania” report, will soon be approved.

Kimpeanu clarified that after the integration of the comments of the consultative organizations, there will be a third form of bills, after the first form launched in the debate, and the second after incorporating the amendments received during the public discussion period. and is considered “acceptable”.

The minister explained that at the beginning of September they will be submitted to the Government for approval, and then the projects will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
