
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved individual sanctions against the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill and 7 other representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church for “blessing daily war crimes against Ukrainians”, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
“The Russian Orthodox Church supports Russia’s war against the Ukrainian people and daily blesses war crimes against Ukrainians. Everyone involved in this should be held accountable. The activity of these churchmen in the Russian Federation, without hiding it, contradicts Christian values,” said Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko.

Sanctions include the freezing of assets, restrictions on travel to Ukraine, a ban on renting state property, suspension of cultural exchanges and cooperation, cancellation of official visits, etc.
Sanctions are imposed for ten years.
The list must be approved by the National Security Council and the President of Ukraine.
