Three citizens (two 27-year-olds and a 22-year-old man) were detained at the intersection of Emmanuel Benaki and Arahovis streets in Exarchia by police officers of the Sub-Department for the Restoration of Order while fingerprinting.
According to ELAS, three detainees, part of a group of about 100 people, some of whom had their faces covered, attacked a guard platoon in Exarchion Square by throwing glass bottles at them. During the attack, they were insulted.
The defendants strongly resisted arrest, with one of the two 27-year-old men again attacking the officers, throwing glass bottles at them until he was restrained.
Those arrested in a case brought against them by the State Security Subdivision of the Attica Security Directorate were taken to the Athenian Criminal Prosecutor’s Office.
