
According to GEETHA, at 2am, a Turkish UAV entered the Athens FIR without filing a flight plan, violated national airspace, and then flew over Levita, northeast of Amorgos, at an altitude of 19,000 feet.
At 9:24 a.m., a second Turkish UAV entered the Athens FIR without filing a flight plan, violated national airspace, and then flew over Candeliosa Nisyru at an altitude of 29,000 feet.
At 11:01 a.m., a Turkish UAV entered the Athens FIR without filing a flight plan, violated national airspace, and then flew over Candeliosa Nisiru again at an altitude of 19,000 feet.
Turkish UAVs were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules in the usual manner.
It is noted that Levita is included in the Natura 2000 network along with the northern Amorgos and the island of Quinaro. It is also one of the important bird protection areas and has been included in the protection of the black petrel and egret.
