“The further south you drive, the longer the summer lasts,” says Bree Shelley of luxury travel agency Embark Beyond, explaining that in places like Spain’s Balearic Islands and Greece, travelers can enjoy warm, dry weather well into October.
Santorini has the longest season in the region and is open until the end of November.
Other destinations recommended by Bloomberg for the fall are Lake Como in Italy, Prague, Sicily and Portugal.
