AUR President George Simion is getting married on Saturday, August 27, in the village of Vilcha, with 10,000 people expected at the event. In recent weeks, George Simion has been publicizing his wedding preparations, from pictures of engagement rings to videos of him shopping at local party stores.

In connection with HotNews.ro, George Simion explained why he decided to invite 10,000 people to his wedding.

“It was difficult for us to stay for 100-200 people, we didn’t have a big enough room to gather all my friends, so we decided on this model of a country celebration,” explained the head of AUR.

When asked by a HotNews.ro journalist why he made public such a personal episode, the politician replied: “Everything I do is a political gesture.”

“Everything I do is a political gesture, and I assume (…) What wedding model would he like to see in me? Wedding for a hundred people, fly to Thassos or Crete? We had a wedding in a village in Vilchi. Everything I do is a political gesture. If I could not organize this wedding, I would show that I am not, that we are not capable of running the country. I have long passed the stage where I would allow myself to have non-public affairs“, George Simion emphasized.

Who is the future wife of George Simeon

Little is known about the relationship of the people’s deputy with his future wife. It was Simion who announced on the TV show that he was going to get married, but did not want to name his future wife. Information appeared in the press that Yuliya Burcha, the financial controller of a multinational company, will be elected to the AUR parliament.

After several weeks of media speculation, Simion denied the information and revealed the name of his future wife.

“I tried to keep my private life as low-key as possible, but relationships with girls I wasn’t with started to appear in the press, things that are not true, and I said that the only way out is to show myself publicly and be as much as possible open We had some pretty awkward moments. The press began to say that I was with Mrs. Yulia Burtsa… (I never had a relationship with this woman). You understand that my future wife was also suffering, that’s why we decided to make everything public,” says Simion.

Ilincha Muntyan is 24 years old, she graduated from the Faculty of Law. In an interview with Romanian television, the future wife of the AUR leader talked about the moment when he proposed to her. According to her, George Simion arranged the raffle with the help of a police officer. She was stopped by traffic police officers who have a gift for her from the leader of the AUR.

Organization and material and technical support is provided by the party structure

The official registration of the marriage will take place in the village of Oveselu in Vilcha county, on the territory of a luxurious resort. For the religious wedding, George Simion received a concession from the BOR. More precisely, the religious service will take place inside the complex, in a chapel built especially for the occasion, and will be officiated by the Archbishop of Rimnik, ÎPS Varsanufie and the Archbishop of Tomis, ÎPS Teodosie.

George Simion will marry ten pairs of godparents, among whom are Romanians who left the country with business abroad, such as Marius Deaconescu, Stefan Voloshoniuk and Petrica Negrea.

About 10,000 people have been invited to the event, who will have access to the complex with wristbands, just like at concerts. To secure the perimeter, 7,500 access bracelets were distributed across the districts and guests were registered with personal details from identity cards.

“We have organized many events, I have been involved for 15 years and know how to organize them so that there are no risks. Invitations were distributed through friends, acquaintances, through our entire network in the territory, the party network. 7,500 access bracelets were distributed in all districts. In order to secure the perimeter, colleagues recorded the data of each participant, first and last name. On the wedding day, guests will come to pick up the bracelets,” explained Simion.

Village party and historical moments with Dacians and Romans

“Village party” is the “leitmotif” of a wedding organized by George Simion together with his friends and fellow party members. The AUR leader wants the event to take place in the traditional Romanian style.

According to him, 14 thematic tents from 14 geographical regions of Romania have been organized, and bands and folk music bands will perform at the party. Among the performers who will sing at Simeon’s wedding are Sofia Vikovianka, Plaiesiy, Surorile Osoianu, Sava Negrean Brudashku, as well as folk and rock artists: Fenix, Adrian Naidin and Maria Georgiou.

There will also be entertainment for children, such as a puppet show, painting, graffiti and sculpture workshops and a hot air balloon ride.

“My colleagues promised me many surprises. It is a moment of joy and we want to rediscover some traditions. A historical reconstruction of the battle between the Dacians and the Romans and a horse show await us. These are our friends from Terra Dacica Aeterna and a friend who does a horse show,” says the AUR MP.

How Simeon pays for the wedding expenses

The AUR leader claims he has paid €12,000 so far, money he says is a donation or a gift from his godparents.

George Simion: “We pay best men and friends with money, but we also have a lot of services and products. More than half of them are given to us as wedding gifts by sensitive acquaintances and friends. Everyone gives us what they have at hand. Mr. Jigi Bekali gave us cheese, and shepherds from Polovragi, Vaideeni and Jina rambekuti for bread.”
